NEWS

PRAIRIE STRIDES NEEDS YOU!

Prairie Strides needs you! Prairie Strides is looking to enhance our current complement of volunteer board members with some fresh eyes and new skills. Together we can make a difference!

OUR STORY…

Founded in 1977, Prairie Strides (formerly Manitoba Riding for the Disabled Association) provides an adaptive horseback riding program to enhance the quality of life for children with disabilities.

Prairie Strides relies on the efforts of over 100 volunteers, a Board of Directors, an awesome stable facility and one paid employee.

Without Government assistance, fundraising and donations are the lifelines to continuing our work.

We are looking for eager volunteers with the following skills or experience to sit on our board for a minimum of one year:

·  Legal  ·  Accounting  ·  Technology  ·  Administration  ·  Event coordination  ·  Grant writing/fundraising  ·  Volunteer management

·  Horse knowledge …or just plain business sense - we need you!

There is no remuneration – smiles are our greatest motivator!  You get to work for some amazing kids who need our help. We provide an orientation session, a board package with everything you need to know and most importantly, satisfaction from knowing you are helping to give program participants an opportunity to experience the incredible impact and benefit of connecting with horses.

If you’re interested in a worthwhile but challenging volunteer experience, please let us know by emailing exedir@prairiestrides.com
