Intro:

For children who ride with Prairie Strides, the experience is about much more than learning to ride a horse. It’s about discovering confidence, building connections and finding joy in new experiences, all at their own pace. And sometimes, a special connection develops along the way between a child and a horse that makes the experience even more meaningful.

For Connor, that connection is with Kylo. His mom, Sabrina, shares what three years of riding with Prairie Strides has meant to their family.

There’s Something Special About Connor and Kylo

Connor has been riding horses through Prairie Strides for about 3 years now and he loves it! He has formed a real bond with his horse, Kylo. He is excited to come each week and as parents, it’s nice to see that there are programs like this that cater to kids with special or different needs. One of Connor’s favourite things to do is feed Kylo. He thinks it’s so funny to watch him eat veggies. And Connor loves when he gets to gallop with Kylo.

The program and its volunteers ensure the kids are safe, while having fun and new experiences! We are grateful for all the opportunities Prairie Strides has offered our son.
